Doctoral Programs : The Eller Community

As a doctoral student at the Eller College of Management, you will connect with a collegial group of students in your field, as well as a larger community of approximately 130 Ph.D. students, through events including:
New Doctoral Student Orientation
Meet with entering Ph.D. students over lunch and then hear from faculty and administrators about the Eller College. A Ph.D. student panel will answer your questions and tell you what they wish they had known before entering into the program.
Fall Workshop
Participate in our Fall Workshop for insights into topics such as teaching effectiveness, grant writing, job interview preparation, and demonstrations of the latest statistical techniques and packages for conducting research. Each session is headed by faculty panels.
Spring Doctoral Award Luncheon
Attend our spring luncheon in which outstanding students are recognized for research, teaching, and service. The event provides an opportunity to meet Ph.D. students in other departments and hear about activities in the College. Students who have excelled in one of the three award areas will receive special recognition for their accomplishments.
