2004 Distinguished Undergraduate Alumni Awards
Honoring “our very best students, alumni, faculty and staff” was the evening’s sole agenda at the Eller College first annual Undergraduate Program A Night with the Stars, held April 22, 2004 at the Memorial Student Union’s Grand Ballroom.
Included in the evening were awards presented to 3 distinguished alumni and friends of the college:
Award Excellence in Service
Alejandro “Alex” Rios
BSBA in Finance 2001
Alex lives in Chandler, Arizona and works for Intel Corporation. He is currently a Cost and Controls Freight Analyst, but has also worked for Intel as a P&L Analyst and Consolidations Analyst.
As a recent alum, Alex has contributed a great deal of time and commitment to the Eller College. His involvement includes active membership in the Eller College Associates program, individual student mentoring, recruitment for Intel, and guidance and support to the Multicultural Business Students Association. His willingness to serve the undergraduate program through advice and support is a true testament to his commitment to the Eller College and its students.
Outstanding Recent Alumni Award
Noah Knauf
BSBA in Management Information Systems and Operations Management, 2001
Noah currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts and is an Associate at Parthenon Capital (a $1.1B Private Equity Firm focused on middle-market buyouts). Previously, he worked for Bain & Company.
As a student in the undergraduate program, he was the President and founding member of the Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations. As a recent alum, he continues to make an impact with innovative ideas for the undergraduate program. Currently, Noah is working with the undergraduate programs office on strategic plans to actively engage recent alum in the college.

Frank Kramer
Missouri School of Mines and Matallurgy, BSCE, 1951

Frank is the current Executive in Residence for the Undergraduate Programs Office. Prior to retirement, Frank served as Manufacturing Division, Group Vice President/Manager, Missile Systems Group, Hughes Aircraft.
Frank was one of the founding board members of the Eller College Associates (ECA) program. He continues to faithfully serve ECA through volunteering his time for numerous activities and has attended eight of the nine semiannual Professional Admission Interview events. Frank volunteers additional time to mentor our students weekly in the Undergraduate Career Resources Center, assisting students with developing their career skills. Frank’s dedication and willingness to give his time and share his expertise exemplifies the outstanding contribution the Eller College Associates make to the undergraduate program.
