Business Communication Faculty Named to the 2004 UA Excellence Team“CONGRATULATIONS –You have been selected from the ‘best of the best’ to receive The University of Arizona 2004 Team Award for Excellence!” reads the March 1st letter from the University’s recognition committee to the Eller College Business Communication faculty. Members of the winning team oare program director Dr. Renee McConnell, Diza Sauers, Michael Secrest, Sandra Rothschild, Bryan Patchett, and Carol Shuherk.
Reacting to the good news, Director Renee McConnell, who established the communication program in 1999, said, “It is so gratifying, having started so inauspiciously just five years ago, to have been nominated for this award, much less win…..credit truly goes to the faculty team.” From two instructors and a single undergraduate course to a comprehensive program with five full time faculty, six graduate teaching assistants, fourteen undergraduate preceptors, an MBA requirement and a myriad of services, communication studies play a vital role in business education at Eller. Comments Kevin Kundinger, who just completed his BSBA in MIS, “…the business communication group has a rare passion for their jobs that is infectious and results in providing students with skills to help them succeed in life. Students get so much out of these courses because the instructors put so much in.” |
