Class Gifts
Students Building a Philanthropic Culture
Undergraduate and graduate students are building a philanthropic culture at the Eller College through class gift programs.
In 2006, then-seniors Lauren Liguore (BSBA Economics ’07) and Joshua Cohen (BSBA Accounting and Entrepreneurship ’07) developed the undergraduate Senior Class Gift project, designed to inspire their peers to stay connected to the Eller community. Jerry Bott — class of ’64 — met Liguore and Cohen while visiting the Eller College and committed to matching $1,000 of their class gift pledges. “I’m lending a hand now in hopes that some day these students will remember and give back the same way when they can,” Bott says.
The project is ongoing through the Eller College Student Council and Alpha Kappa Psi.
