Knowledge Transfer & EntrepreneurshipIn line with its mission to accelerate the rate of innovation nationally and globally, the Eller College actively works to transfer knowledge sets developed within the academic community to outside commercial ventures, introducing technologies into the competitive marketplace and the realms of social and environmental advancement. Much of the Eller College's knowledge transfer initiatives occur
through the McGuire
Center for Entrepreneurship,
which has offered a highly ranked, formal degree program since
1984. Innovation Beyond EllerThe McGuire Center’s mission "to equip tomorrow's leaders... regardless of focus, with an entrepreneurial mindset" drives the program’s reach beyond the Eller College. The Center’s award-winning Associates in Entrepreneurship programs offer a dynamic, comprehensive approach to venture development in fields ranging from life sciences to fine arts. In addition, the Center seeks to advance opportunities for innovation through a broad spectrum of business planning, feasibility studies, seminars and colloquia, focused research, fellowships, scholarships, publications, and outreach. Advancing Entrepreneurship NationwideWhile working to accelerate innovation today, the McGuire Center remains dedicated to the long-range advancement of entrepreneurship education as a key contributor to economic and academic health. To that end, the Center channels significant resources to far-reaching entrepreneurship education development and serves as a model program to more than 30 programs per year, hosting visits and studies aimed at gathering information on the Center’s successful programs. Additionally, since 1985, the McGuire Center has tracked and promoted
innovation nationwide as editor of the JAI
Press Series: Advances in the Study of Entrepreneurship, Innovation
and Economic Growth. To further information, please contact the Karl Eller Center.
