About Larry Abramson
Larry Abramson joined Oracle in 2007 to lead Advanced Customer Services. At the time ACS was a $300 million recurring revenue business largely up-selling support services. Under his stewardship ACS has grown to $900 million, tripling revenue in just three years. Today ACS delivers production expert services and operations management to Oracle customers worldwide and is one of the company’s fastest growing businesses.
In addition to leading ACS, Mr. Abramson has held multiple leadership positions at Oracle including global sales leader for Oracle Enterprise Linux/Oracle VM, and acquisition leadership roles for Seibel, BEA, and Hyperion. Most recently he led the business integration for Sun Services, a $3 billion component of Sun Microsystems. In this role he was responsible for the development of streamlined product portfolios, global support sales models, and business control structures designed to significantly improve operating margins. In the first full quarter after the Sun Microsystems acquisition Oracle reported $400 million in incremental operating profits directly related to Sun.
Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Abramson was a member of the executive team at USinternetworking where he led sales and marketing. Prior to USi he was CEO of Appshop, one of the first application service providers and an early innovator in the software as a service industry. He began his career with Arthur Andersen where he became a U.S. partner in 1998 and a worldwide partner in 2000. In 2004, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by El Dorado Ventures.
Mr. Abramson earned a BSBA from the University of Arizona with a double major in accounting and management information systems. He lives in northern California with his wife and two children.
