For eight years, the Department of Marketing’s annual Thinking Forward Conference has connected students with professionals at the top of the marketing game.

“This year we teamed up with the Department of Management and Organizations, and in particular the Sports Management Program to co-sponsor an outstanding conference on the theme of sports marketing,” said Linda Price, head of the marketing department. “It was the largest Thinking Forward event to date, with nearly 200 in attendance, including for the first time a select number of non-Eller students who had a chance to sample this Eller experience through their affiliation with the Sports Management Program.”

Price collaborated with Brent Seebohm, director of the Sports Management Program, on the slate of guest speakers. That speaker lineup included Larry Baer, president and CEO of the San Francisco Giants; Dennis Moore, VP of sales and marketing for the Denver Broncos; Daniel Schlossman, a product manager for the National Football League; and Jeff Plush, founder and CEO of Helium Sports Group.
