U.S. News & World Report ranks Eller's entrepreneurship program (New Venture Development Program) offered through the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship number 5 among public programs and number 10 overall in its 2018 undergraduate business school rankings.
The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship has been recognized for excellence by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and SUCCESS magazine and is a past recipient of the Nasdaq Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.
In 2010, USA Today and Princeton Review called the McGuire Center the "crown jewel" of the University of Arizona.
A survey of accounting programs conducted by Brigham Young University ranked the Department of Accounting's research influence at number 10. The department is number 1 in the nation in the area of tax research and number 6 for financial.
For 2018, U.S. News and World Report ranked the Eller Department of Economics doctoral program number 42 nationally, and number 22 among public programs.
For 2019, U.S. News & World Report ranked the Eller Department of MIS graduate program number 5 nationally, and number 3 among public programs. The online MIS graduate program (MISonline) was ranked number 8 nationally and number 5 among public programs.
For 2018, U.S. News & World Report ranked the MIS undergraduate program number 3 nationally, and number 1 among public programs.
Eller MIS is one of three institutions to maintain Top 5 status since the inception of the U.S. News & World Report undergraduate rankings for information systems in 1989.
For 2018, Cyber Degrees ranks the Master's in Cybersecurity program as the number 7 program nationally and the online Enterprise Security Certificate as the number 8 program nationally. TheBestSchools.org ranks the Cybersecurity master's program as the number 4 public program nationally (number 12 overall) for cyber crime.
For 2018, the Data Science Degree Program Guide ranks the Certificate in Business Intelligence and Analytics as the number 7 data science program.
In 2018, Financial Times ranks the Eller Executive Education program number 11 in the U.S., number 2 in the West, and number 1 in Arizona.
The Eller College’s Economic and Business Research Center has been recognized by the Association for University Business and Economic Research (AUBER) for excellence in publications. Most recently, the Center was honored with the 2003 award for excellence in the category of Abstracts and Other Data Publications. EBR’s website, the Arizona’s Economy magazine and app, and annual Economic Outlook publication also have received recognition.
In the Texas A&M 2010-2014 Aggregated Management Department Productivity Rankings, the Department of Management and Organizations ranks number 14 among public schools and number 20 overall among U.S. and Canadian universities.
In a survey of MIS research productivity administered by the University of Arkansas, the University of Arizona’s Eller College Department of MIS ranked number 4 for the period 2008-2010 and number 8 for the period 2006-2010.
Eller College and its various programs have also been ranked among top programs by Forbes, as well as Business 2.0 and Computerworld magazines for strength in technology.
Financial Times magazine has recognized Eller College as one of the top schools granting Ph.D. degrees in the international business school arena, and Academy of Management Journal has recognized Eller College faculty as a top school in research productivity.
