This award was established by RII as an effort to embrace and empower women who have distinguished themselves through their work in research and innovation.

Sudha RamAnheuser-Busch Chair in MIS, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and professor of MIS is among the 30 women who received the 2023 Women of Impact Award.

"I was so very pleased to see that Sudha was selected to receive the Women of Impact award. I have known her for well over 35 years, and she is so very deserving of this award," says Jeff Schatzberg, vice dean of faculty and research and Frances McClelland Chair of Accounting. "Sudha personifies what it means to be a researcher who has made significant contributions to her discipline, her college and university, and to society. Her research has been very impactful to all of these domains. She is the consummate academic, whose passion for research is not only reflected in her grants and publications, but also as a mentor of graduate students, and as a colleague who can deftly convey to all stakeholders the vision and insights she has created at the frontier of knowledge. She is a truly outstanding role model for all of us in the Eller College and the University. Well done Sudha!"

Award recipients are selected based on their commitment to the University’s mission and values, an application of skills toward discovery and innovation, the enrichment of the community and empowerment of others to ensure lasting change.

Award recipients will be celebrated at a University-wide celebration on October 20, 2023.
